About Us

Acorn is a consulting firm that specializes in sustainable and climate-resilient building design. Acorn supports architects, engineers, builders, and developers with a wide range of services from energy modelling to embodied carbon analysis and climate resilience assessments.

At Acorn we believe that smart simple choices can make significant improvements in building sustainably. Our goal is to help our partners and clients make cost effective choices that result in higher performing buildings with lower ecological and climate impact. We aspire to realize and measure our collective ideas and results with a culture of constant improvement through research, testing, execution, and measuring.

We call ourselves Acorn for a reason.

Our Founder’s last name means ‘oak’ in Swedish making the acorn seed of the oak tree a lovely metaphor for the work we do. As we build great things with our clients, they all start with the simple seedlings of purposeful ideas. Our collective ideas and efforts make buildings that endure. The tiny acorn becomes the great oak.
